The following documents are to be used for proof-reading and to provide plenty of student written examples of expository/hybrid paragraphs.

The first document contains our unedited paragraphs, written in class last Friday

The second is a scan of the proof-reading notes made by Chloe

The third contains the edited paragraphs, improved based on our group proof-reading, as well as Chloe's notes.

These three documents will provide good examples of the ways you can strengthen your writing through proof reading, even under SAC or exam conditions, as well as exposing you to lots of different writing styles and examples on this topic. REMEMBER: A little proof-reading and editing goes A LONG LONG way.

Persuasive Language Techniques

On the TASK sheet it is recommended that you use 5 persuasive techniques.

In the Resource below are examples of persuasive techniques from the text on the book list : Persuasive Language in Media Texts - Napthine.

The following 2 documents are the brainstorming ideas completed by all three Unit 1 & 2 classes in relation to the prompt for SAC 2.

You are NOT to print these documents to use as your scrapbook, you can however appropriate these ideas for yourself and re-write them within your scrapbook (it would be a good idea to further explore the ideas you identify with most from these brainstorms). Remember the scrapbook needs to be full of general ideas surrounding the context: Justice/Injustice as well as the texts studied in class.
