Dramatic Principle - Movement to Enhance Meaning in Performance

Reason For Learning

Learning Intention

The aim of this unit is to broaden the students’ focus for performance beyond what is merely vocal, inviting them to more strongly consider how their bodies can be used to communicate story, feeling, relationship, and personality. The students will therefore be taken through a series of movement focussed tasks that will enable them to build their movement skills, both in the context of working with others, as well as alone. Their learning of this dramatic principle will culminate in the delivery of two performance-based tasks; one individual and one group-based.
