Unit 2 - Mass- Volume & Volume-Volume Stiochiometry (archive)

Reason For Learning

Standard temperature and pressure (STP). Standard temperature is 0°C or 273 K, and standard pressure is 101.3 kPa (or 760 mmHg or 1 atm). Standard laboratory conditions (SLC). Since most experiments are carried out in the laboratory, normal room temperature is substituted for the STP condition. Standard laboratory conditions are a temperature of 25°C (298 K), and pressure of 101.3 kPa (760 mmHg or 1 atm).

Learning Intention

The molar gas volume is the volume of one mole of any gas at a stated temperature and pressure. VM (STC) = 22.4 L VM (SLC) = 24.5 L
