Reason For Learning

Students who are interested in a career in physiotherapy, sports science or human biology need to understand the physiology of the body during exercise. It also forms an important part of the unit 3 curriculum in Physical Education and will assist students live an active lifestyle as well as the benefits associated with being active.

Learning Intention

Students will be able to identify and explain the acute responses to exercise, in particular the respiratory, cardiovascular and muscular responses.
